Argh!

Why do computers never do what you want them to? And then all help programs in the world do not 'help' you do anything!!!

Get the feeling I'm frustrated?

If it keeps going much longer I'm going to throw something at the screen. Not that it will help. But it will make me feel better in the short term. And it might break the screen - definate problem.

*sigh*

On to pleasanter subjects. I'm going away with some friends to "Sandy" this weekend. AND I get Monday off. Not really that exciting but at the moment, I'm really looking forward to my extra day off and spending the weekend mucking around with friends.

Have you ever been really freaked out by your mobile phone? I was last night. I was talking with my friend about a mutual friend of ours and my phone went off with a text from him. It was weird because I hadn't heard from him in awhile and also because he hates messaging. It was just too good timing.

Anyway this post is rather boring and random (to quote Dimity) so I wont insult your intelligence anymore.

TGIF

Thank goodness it's Friday!

Only a bit over an hour to go and lots to do so I'm making this short.

Going to see Madagasca with Hannah and Nathan tonight. Heard some good things about it, so it should be great. Especially since there's a giraffe voiced by David Schwimmer - ie. Ross from Friends. I love giraffes and I loved (*sniff, sniff*) Friends. So it's a perfect combination! :) Just kidding. But it should be a fun movie.

Also I have a friends concert on Saturday night. He's playing in a battle of the bands. I'm looking forward to seeing them. I've been meaning to hear them play for ages.

Anyway have a good weekend!

We Got Cake

Did you know you can overdose on cake? I never did until this weekend!

State Youth games was great. Overall my group came equal twentieth which sounds pretty bad but out of 64 teams that's pretty good. And in the medium church category we came equal 9th of 20 churches. Personally I played Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball. Ultimate Frisbess we won two and lost two games and Volleyball C my team were runners up. Ultimate Frisbee was so much fun! We played in the rain and mud and had a blast!

At each of our games our group handed out cake to the spectators and competitors. That's where the cake overdose and "We Got Cake" slogan come from. We had a trestle table groaning under the weight of cakes piled three and four high at our camp area. It was fun. People's responses to the cake were funny. Some people were so into their sports that they wouldn't take any because they were playing. Others thought we were great. We even got a special mention for the Good Sports Award. Although our nominee mentioned that the cake we gave out was dry and they thought it was second hand food! Slightly insulted by that! :) So many people helped us to cook those cakes from the goodness of their hearts! Specifically for State Youth Games so we could give them out to others. Second-hand food indeed! :) Lol.

I also got to catch up with Hayles, Nic, Bree, Bec, Sarah, Chris, Toogoods, Rob and more people, so that was good.

Overall a great weekend and I'm going to encourage people to join us next year.

As Sarah said ...

IT'S TOMORROW!!!

Hehe.

I'm getting off work at 1pm so I don't even have to sit through a whole day at work going mad because I want to leave :)

We are going to have a blast.

Countdown continues

The countdown continues - four more sleeps to go.

Got our tents on the weekend - we just hope there are no holes in them. Well, I'm not worried so much because the tent with the possible holes in it is the guys tent :) I'll be snug in my brother's nice, trusty, holeless tent, while shares the holey tent with the other guys! Hehe

It seems a bit minor to countdown to State Youth Games. But countdowns help build the anticipation for me. And it's the first time I've been. So I'm going to be enthusiastic!

Countdown has begun

I am counting down until the Queens Birthday long weekend this year. Eight sleeps to go! Not only do we get an extra day for the weekend but I'm going to State Youth Games for the first time. Should be lots of fun. Lots of my friends are going and hopefully I get some time to catch up with some of them. From what I've heard you don't get a lot of time? But I can hope :)

For anyone who hasn't heard of State Youth Games (SYG) before here's what I know (warning it's not much). It's run by Church of Christ and youth from churches all over Vic are invited to participate. People come, camp and compete in sports from Basketball to Ultimate Frisbee and Uno. There are worship services in the evening. I'm looking forward to it. :-)
